Changes in the economic and cultural space of Russia in recent decades have caused serious changes in the spiritual development of students. The revaluation of values, which occurs from generation to generation, is a natural process, the new time always dictates new attitudes and rules, and therefore a different view of the surrounding socio – cultural reality is formed. In this case, it is important for society to establish control over the process of deformation in the value orientations of young people, to prevent general social apathy, lack of spirituality, and to prevent the fall of the prestige of honest work.
The superconsumption society in which we exist dictates its own strict rules. In such a social situation among young people, consumer sentiment comes to the fore, becoming the main value. The content of advertising is focused more on young people. The advertising information environment overly aggressively tries to impose the adoption of inflated aesthetic, physical and utilitarian standards. Every day we see and hear that the possession of a certain thing is accompanied by "admiring glances and delight", "it is necessary to have not just a car, but a supercar", "not just a phone, but a superphone", "then you will become successful, unique, updated, and you will have wide opportunities". Such advertising content contributes to the development of young people's desire to develop and adopt life attitudes that would allow them to find their place in the surrounding reality, where the constant desire for consumer self-improvement comes out in the first place.
