The modern geopolitical and information space determines the peculiarities of interaction between peoples and states. Images formed in the public consciousness through the channels of information transmission form people's ideas about themselves and others, about their own and other people's history, about the "correctness" and "not correctness" of events. But even at this time, when communication links are maximally expanded and there are no real obstacles in obtaining information through the Internet or in real interaction, the possibility of purposeful nomination and formation of images of certain objects remains.
Today, political manipulation of the masses, mass political consciousness and mass political behavior are not only widespread, but also become a daily political practice. The study of this is an actual theoretical and practical task. The relevance of this topic is determined, first of all, by the fact that if people become victims of interpersonal manipulation, huge masses of people become victims of political manipulation. Especially relevant is the study of methods of political manipulation. One of them can be described as a way to create an "enemy image". Negative image or "use of contrast effect" has the origins of national cultural and historical stereotypes, and therefore they are more easily perceived by different groups of the population. Currently, this is a winning method of capturing people's political consciousness. Many media outlets use this method in their technologies, it also happens in the election race and the struggle for power.
The aim of the work is to study the image of the enemy in the media.
The object of the study is the presentation of the image of the enemy in the media.
